Paolo Salerno

Founding Partner 

He has a degree in Law from the University "Alma Mater Studiorum" in Bologna (Italy) and completed his post-graduate studies in the Administrative Law Department of the Complutense University of Madrid and obtained the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DEA). He has the title of lawyer in Spain as in Mexico. He is a professor in the Law Department of the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM) and a researcher at the ITAM Energy and Natural Resources Center (CIERN-ITAM).

In the professional field he has experience as an independent consultant and lawyer specialized in the area of ​​energy, both in Spain and in Mexico. He has been a jurist of the European Parliament and has been a university lecturer for more than five years, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level (masters and specialties). He has published articles in the area of ​​Administrative Law and Energy Law, both in scientific journals and in leading journals in the sector. His publications, specialize in the analysis of the electricity sector and renewable energy, as well as the problems of the Environment.

He is currently a Founding Partner of the firm Salerno y Asociados in which he directs the Energy area that occupies all the regulatory, contractual and development issues of electric market and renewable energy projects.
